On the 27th of April 2026, members of the RESONANCE team gathered for their second workshop. The discussion centered around the need for institutional digital preservation of audiovisual archives, especially those in possession of magnetic tapes.

Once again, Brian Castriota gave a presentation, this time on digitazation and transcodification. This was followed by a demonstration of these processes on some equipment. Castriota has over a decade of experience in digital preservation in museological context, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin and the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh.
