Together with Pedro Cerejo (ICS), the researcher Ana Bigotte Vieira presented her latest research on the relationships between Cuba and Portugal, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, S. Tomé, Cape Verde, and Angola through the work and legacy of Adolfo Gutkin at the International Conference 60 Years of the Tricontinental Conference: Context, Impact, Legacy, and Future.
Held in Havana between the 12th and the 14th of January 2026, this conference celebrated the anniversary of the notable event. Bigotte Vieira’s presentation, with the title “Cuba – Portugal – Cuba / Cuba – Portugal – Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, S. Tomé, Cape Verde, Angola: Adolfo Gutkin’s independent theatre networks from the 1960s to the 1980s” champions one of the main strands of this researcher’s investigations under the remit of the RESONANCE project.
